Character of the Great Gatsby:
Jay Gatsby- He is the Booster and the title character of the whole novel. Gatsby is a marvelous wealthy young man who lives in a Gothic Mansion in the West Egg. This greatness is only limited to an extent. In the novel, the greatness (and limitations of that greatness) of Gatsby is developed through how Fitzgerald comments on the American Dream, using the character of Gatsby to develop his core themes.
